Alfa 147 GTA Exhaust

Guys,
Does anyone have any experience of a stainless exhaust to go on the GTA. I have purchased them previously for other cars from Quicksilver who are great but expensive.
http://www.racecar.co.uk/quicksilver/
I am looking to move the car one shortly so want a good item but less costly than Quicksilver.
The car itself is great fun and has reasonable MPG on long runs and has been wonderfully reliable.
Many thanks
Malcolm

Larini is what all us owners run. The do do an exhaust for your car but they won't be cheap.

Pm Masersod he uses a custom outfit that will build you one to your specification for not alot of money. They are called Pro Speed in Wales.

Autodelta used to be the exhaust of choice for Alfa back in the day, but I appreicate from your post that you're looking for a cheap option so I doubt Autodelta fits the bill. Try contacting Nouvalari Engineering - very well priced, good quality and getting great feedback/reviews from their stuff on Ferrari 360s. I think that like for like they tend to be a bit cheaper than Quicksilver.

Guys,
Thank you for all the information. Will keep the post up to date with progress as it happens.
I drove the car today in the North Yorks Moors after a lunch in Otley. In early autumn and in these conditions the GTA is a really great machine though its best to not look at the read out of the MPG too frequently.
I could ask you guys for advice on the 75 but sadly getting it up to a suitable condition for frequent use is not economical and having owned it since 1993 will have to consider loosing it soon.
Thanks again for your time in replying

Ragazzon seems to be the Alfa owner flavour at the moment...

Where'd you get that info? have you seen the threads on Gazzella?

Barge Pole territory

OP Get a SuperSprint, its what I had on mine, alternatively for a high revving raspy ferrariesque sound get in touch with Dan in parts at Autolusso, a friend of his is a exhaust developer for race cars, GT Stuff etc. and came up with a replica of the unicorse system that also sounds great on a GTA. Supersprint for the burble and character, Wizard Exhaust for the mad zing..

Just seen this old post. I had a CSC back box on mine when I had one a few years ago. I can't remember who I bought it through but it came shipped from Italy. Your post has reminded me that I posted a video on Youtube at the time, so you can judge the sound for yourself!

I think the avoidance advice refers to Gazzella which I whole heartedly support, having had a very bad experience a while back.
I ordered a CSC manifold from their online shop which informed me delivery would be around 14 days. After a month I tried to phone Gazzella to find out what was happening but every time I just got an answerphone, I tried emailing and had no reply. Eventually after many months they phoned me and apologised for the delays and assured me that I would get my part as soon as possible. Over the course of the next 15 months (!) I received replies to maybe 1 in 20 phone calls or emails with new excuses each time. Eventually I asked for my money back and as usual no reply so in the end I threatened them with legal action and a cheque arrived fairly quickly! In the end I ordered the manifold direct from CSC who had to make it especially for me as there was no stock but it arrived in around 10 days! So in conclusion avoid Gazzella at all costs!

As for 147 GTA exhausts, I would go for Supersprint (great quality and sound but quite pricey - I think the stainless back box alone is about £500. A full system including manifolds and sports cats would be about £3000!) or CSC, reasonably priced and nicely made with a great sound but not too loud (EB Spares are a UK distributor). The nice thing about CSC and Supersprint are that they are Italian and are always developed using engine dyno equipment so you can be sure of proven performance gains.
I guess it depends what you want but Ragazzon/Scorpion can be a bit loud and chavvy (I think the rumours of Autodelta systems being Ragazzon with their name on it may be true).
Hope that helps

Hi Tom,

Really looking forward to hearing the sound of the 3.2 Alfa V6 at Llandow really unleashed, as the unicourse only seems to manage.

Welcome to the SM forum by the way Tom :D

I've been on a couple of track days and had the same result. I've got some spare bridgestones ready for the job :)

Will there be a tyre fitter near by?

Ummmm.....No........There is a Ford garage down the road though..........Not everyone has issues with tyres..Me and Mark had Toyo's on and I think they must be a bit soft.....
