An alternative to Larini?

Hi Stuart. I've not heard of them but they have a number of UK dealers: http://www.ipe-f1.com/partner.php.

I was planning on having a quiet shout with our very own Benny D. Larinis are great but pots of cash. I can't believe there isn't a more cost-effective way of achieving the same thing (in terms of liberating a few horses as well as some dBs).

edit: some small research reveals that IPE are apparently good but Noor (Torenno) has been unimpressed in the past. Sounds worth some investigation if you fancy a little volume for les than Larini loot.

Thanks for digging that information up Adam, very interesting.
But possibly more interesting is your planned chat with Mr BennyD - I'm in! I too am sure there must be an alternative so will be very interested to talk about this too - maybe a forum mini meet, come exhaust pow wow should be on the cards?!
Cheers

Or you could do like some us have done and make it easier and cost effective......no rear boxes!

It's the cats for me where I would like to try to find some alternatives, it seems OEM or high price Larinis for a GT until I saw these from ipe - let's see what we can come up with

Ipe is a good quality exhaust, and it's pretty much no1 choice for C63s as well as downpipes etc for the later biturbo 63 models. But seems when it comes to these cars Larini is the no1 choice. Would be curious to hear the IPEs though....off to youtube

Sounds good but I'd like to hear it on an MC.

Morebeanz, if you're reading this do you have any video / sound recordings of your Larini setup which you could post, please?

My car has a QuickSilver stainless back box, as in:

http://www.quicksilverexhausts.com/...st-(1998-02)_MASERATI_105_productbulletin.htm

Don't have too much to compare it with, but I'm very pleased with the sound and would certainly vouch for the all-rounder qualities while inside the car - as in not too intrusive unless properly attacking the money pedal. The video there does it reasonable justice.

EDIT: of course the point is they do exhausts for these other models!

Thanks for that, I've heard good things about their back boxes too - cheers
