I have a much cheaper one than the Raceglaze. On the couple of occasions I used it, it was excellent. I hooked it up to my pressure washer and used it for everything. Snow foam, rinse, later and final rinse

Oh I bought it on ebay from memory. You need to buy the matrix if it's not there. Eventually it will become saturated and you will need to replace or 're-charge' with dishwasher salt. Cheap as chips once you get rid of the branding and trademarkss.

I don't use mine any more. More than welcome to it if you're anywhere near.

Did ceramic coating the Bentley eliminate water spots? I don’t really want to shell out hundreds of quid to ceramic both cars.

It's not been ceramiced. It's just ACRES of paint and much less hassle to pay someone else to come and do it for me.

Thanks C I’m in the deepest darkest north.

Does that eliminate water spots whatever the conditions outside?
That’s what they tell me, thing is I don’t drive it in wet conditions..so I can’t confirm. But I specifically asked about it and they told me you wouldn’t have that problem, plus you just use a microfiber cloth to wipe off anything..so far it’s been like that, even louse droppings from trees I’ve wiped off

Bought one a few years ago, it was from a window cleaner supply company on a discount through here.
We actually have soft water but it does elimate having to hand dry all the same.
I check the hardness reading still 0, before the filter our water is something like 100 or less. We get no scaling.

Original discount thread

I have this one less than 100 notes

Does anybody use one of these inline water softener/deioniser units? We both have dark coloured cars and I’m getting fed up with water spots. I never wash the cars in sunlight and even on cold days I end up with water spots. Tried all sorts of detailing stuff without much success. https://pumpexpress.co.uk/shop/crystal-car-water-filter/

Ive got the Aqua gleam version. If you want to prolong the life of it just use it on the final rinse only.

Works really well regardless of what coating or waxes you have on your car.
Pretty much zero water spots and a shinier car as a result.

I use 2 acquagleam filters in series on the tap and then attach my hosepipe to the “out” end of the 0ppm one. The water in Kent is very hard and I use them for the final rinse. I do towel my car off afterwards, but not that carefully! Have never had a water mark. 87223

I’ve looked at my photo and have reminded myself that I need to reorder. I managed to drop the 30ppm one and break the nozzle. Oops.
