Yep sold too early. Paid 26k for it and sold for 27k. Kick myself more for the E30 M3 Evo. Paid 15k sold for 12k and my car actually sold for 43k 8 years ago....Ah well...enjoyed them which is what counts.
Well, at least you had the opportunity to enjoy them... none of them is affordable now!
why doesn’t that happen to Maserati cars?
well, with the way things are heading, I don’t think Maserati will be making new V8 anymore, maybe every single of our cars, if maintained well, would finally join the “investment grade”. wouldn’t that be nice, enjoy the cars, and enjoy the capital growth! Fingers crossed

I think you are right. V8 is probably dead going forward for Maserati. With the powers that be saying that petrol and diesel new cars will be banned in 15 years no point in designing a V8 engine when your efforts are better off designing something that will fit the future. Issue has always been with Maserati in this country the perception of unreliability and high running costs and if true or not they have never really shaken off this perception. Hard to say about investing the as we are becoming the minority ...... Big engine cars have dropped like a stone price wise as the amount if buyers get less and less as they start to be perceived as antisocial. Sad but we are heading towards a new era in automotive history.

Banned in the the UK, but what about the rest of the world?
Don't think the US are planning on banning petrol or diesel in 15 years time, and not sure the whole of Europe either?

I think banning petrol and diesel cars just mean that there will be no new petrol and diesel cars in 15 years, but surely does not mean that we can't drive the "classic"?
All our current petrol performance cars will be labelled as classic in 15 years time, together with the rest of the classic that we appreciate today. The purpose of these cars will be for the enjoyment and excitement of driving rather than a form of transportation. I test drove the Tesla Model S performance, super fast all right, but oh so boring, don't think I will ever enjoy a high performance electric car!
So investment or not I think I will be keeping mime.

I disagree Andy....re development.
Live for today. V8’s etc still have a place.
Design for the future..... 15 years ago we barely all had Nokia’s, certainly no IPads.......then came Blackberrys.
Whatever you design now with 15 years in mind, will be superseded by technology, trend and someone else.
Surely the successful, sell to today’s demand and build a fan base, that they then sell tomorrow’s dream to them too.
