Anyone interested in my 2005 Gransport?

Due to a change in our circumstances we have had to review our finances and I am reluctantly thinking that I will have to sell my Gransport.

The car has been extremely well maintained regardless of cost, (I have 2 lever arch files of history). All work during my ownership has been done by SportsItalia.

The car is in Mediteraneo Blu with Avorio full leather interior. It also has Larini aftermarket carbon fibre paddles, the Formula Dynamics drive by wire system and an Alpine bluetooth stereo. (Original head unit will also come with the car).

Clutch reading is currently 61% remaining.

Mileage wise it's currently 120k but will increase as it's my daily driver.

Any inspection welcome.

£14,950

Thanks for looking.

Remember when Panicracing had the car and he just pampered and loved it. I bet this is a better bet than some of the low miles car. A well looked after Gransport for that sort of money do not come around that often if at all.

Thank you and yes, the guys at SportsItalia said that it's in better condition than some of the cars they see with half the miles.

It's sad/frustrating that mileage plays such a large part in determining a vehicles resale value, when in reality if it's been maintained properly the mileage is incidental.

Having said that it had high mileage when I bought it, so I benefited from that fallacy at the start of my ownership.

Sorry to hear the news, and best of luck with the sale.
Having just sold my GS, the good news is that a couple of people considered mine (which is green) but were actually wanting blue. So the colour could work in your favour.
But on the downside, what put some people off mine was the mileage, which they deemed high at 62K. So your mileage will unfortunately scare off some buyers.
In case this is useful, I advertised mine on here and Pistonheads. Of the serious enquiries, 2 were from here and 7 were from PH (including the purchaser). I didn't try Autotrader.

Lovely colour and a fair price for a well maintained if higher than average mileage at least any new purchaser won't be afraid of getting it out and putting miles on it

Thank you, that’s worth knowing.

I saw that Pistonheads did an article the other day on what good value Gransports are, so hopefully that’ll help.

Some say (i can't help but think of clarkson) that mileage is just a number and the 100k+ cars are likely to have had a chunk of issues fixed to get there....

good luck :)

It’s only done 7k miles per year, hardly high miles! It’s a lot of car for 17k.

Does make you wonder if all the 30-50k miles ones is the real miles on a 15 year old car..
My 13 year old Lexus IS on 120k and runs perfect, as does my 100k 10 year old Alfa.
Italian cars are always better when they are used as intended, apart from the chocolate suspension bits needing more replacement of course!

Good luck with the sale. I have similar mileage on mine and the folders of receipts from 8 years ownership too!
I agree they should be used and enjoyed.

I certainly enjoyed and used both of mine and sold both of them at 110,000 miles.
My current mile cruncher Jaguar XF 3.0 D has done over 160,000.
One thing for sure with Italian V8's they go quicker when they have loosened up.

Hi I feel I have to comment and it’s not a sales/customer thing.

Both Ash and I are amazed at how good this car is and goes to show that the old adage of rigorous maintenance is a reality.

100%. These cars (any post 2000 car) are designed for and certainly capable of doing these mileages. In fact they thrive on it if properly maintained. They don't magically crumble and die at six figures. I wish the UK market was not so hung up on it. Mileage is no protector of condition, time and poor storage is often a bigger enemy.

So, John, how many miles have you managed in your GranSport this year? ;)

Haha - I wrote the above as, even though an owner of several very low miles cars, the obsession with mileage still frustrates me.
To answer your question I covered a heady 400+ miles in the MC-V (and even more than that in the Stradale believe it or not) :)
