I recall many years ago when my boys were much younger dealing with Mercedes in Reading... salesman was having kittens any time they looked like getting close to a car... They were never destructive but busy and keen to explore..... We couldn't concentrate in the end and left without doing a deal on a new ML.....
By contrast Maranellos in Egham were more than happy for the boys to have a good look round the Ferrari's.. were encouraged to sit in them and the salesman even started one up for the noise.....When my wife tried to apologise for them the he said "No problem... they're future customers... ".... .. That was when I bought my first Maserati from them.....I think they've got a bit more retentive about their stock since.. But at the time, we were all pretty pleased with their attitude.. and my boys .. now adults (nearly) remember it well..
