Agree Phil. I think the traffic police have given up on this, as they seem to on mobile phone enforcement judging by the amount of idiots I see texting on a daily basis.....

I don't mind them when they really work. A few years ago I saw a car with the number DANISH (DAN15H, I presume) and that was quite cute. And I think the MD of a company called Biotal had the number B10TAL.

My wife's car has a Mexican Flag and a 'Hecho in Mexico' emblem on her reg plates. However the front one is incorrectly spaced but the rear one is correctly spaced, so from the front you 'get' it, but if the police follow her, there's nothing wrong. Cunning!

Saw a black GT in Dundee (Broughty Ferry) on Sunday with the plate PU55 MAG.

Nice car, but I cringed and wouldn't be seen dead driving a car with that plate pesonally.

Still not as cool as my friend's mum's Subaru Outback which has the plate J15 MAG. Her name is Margaret and she is oblivious to her comedy plate.
