Hi to one and all.
I have sold my Range Rover and after a lot of thought and digging out information I have decided to by myself the Maserati Ghibli diesel V6 2016 (looks the same as a petrol)
I must say its a very practical 4 door car and its very fast for a diesel and I am getting 40mpg average.
It seems very sturdy and reliable.
Black with 21inch wheels and the oil and water seem fine with no leaks and everything seems dry and quiet for a diesel engine and I am very happy...
"Shall we take out the Maserati" she says. ha ... its certainly an Ego thing and the car looks great.
Against my better judgement I am having fitted a full body kit, lowered by 40mm and spaces at 25mm and a deep black polish to round it off...and then its never coming out of SPORTS MODE, because it rumbles like my mates V8
Anyone think I'm wasting my time as this car is going to break down and should save myself some money but The car I am going to model it on looks superb.
Watch this space as I will post when finished...

I bet it will look great- but you will lose a tonne of money by fitting a bodykit and then trying to resell. I would consider it on a petrol perhaps... but I don’t understand the logic of being pleased it does 40mpg... and then putting a several £1000 bodykit on...

You won't get many supporting fitting a body kit on here but each to their own I say.

If you have space for storage keep your old bumpers for when you sell it you can swap them back and sell the kit separately

Welcome to the forum btw :)

Personally - I dont get it, its not a 1300 Escort trying to look like an RS2000,

Each to there own - but I would leave well alone.

Just my opinion tho, and opinions are like....................

I think that looks pretty good, but I’d be amazed if it didn’t lose money. Ghiblis depreciate at alarming rates.

Ha, yes well , I actually tried to keep it suttle .... Didn’t think it was too in your face and it probably looks better in the flesh... I obviously like to stand out a little... Once it’s out of my garage I bet I can hit the top end of 5 seconds ,, for a deisel.... .. still do 35mpg, and with that rumble ... ooooooohh.
It’s not for speed though, just a bit of fun,, and it’s all on a Maserati...Am I allowed to take the Ghibli badge off .. ha ..
Thanks for your comments ....

I will be after a gearbox soon ,, ha
