Are we really that desperate for a drink?

Here in the Mayenne France we have just been told we're all going to be tested for CV19 so I'm really interested to know if it will tell us if we have had it already as we were both really unwell in February.

Yes that would be really interesting to know, a lot of people I know are thinking the same, word of caution for the younger generation though, I was reliably informed that if you test positive for having had it, then you will not be able to get life insurance, so no mortgage. All because no one knows what the long term effects will turn out to be.

I suspect that will be overruled pretty much immediately. Even if it is true.

If that is true it’ll just be an exemption on your insurance as a pre existing condition.

Thought this was about drinking. Will be on the Herefordshire cider tonight.

I may have to investigate the effects of scotch on hayfever....

It’s a strange one, Scotch, it cures everything except being Scottish, in which case it just exacerbates the symptoms

Well, a couple of data points:
  1. Feel much better
  2. I don't suffer from Scottishness, so this is good
  3. Turns out it's Tennessee, so that's still OK as I'm not Leftpondian, either.

If it's like the English test it only tells you if you have got it not if you have had it or have any anti bodies. I did a test last week and was negative, so only good on the day you take it, could have had it, or catch it the next day.
Yes my wife and I also unwell in January as were quite a few people around here would love to know if it was anything to do with covid.

Talking of which. Everybodies phone was updated a few weeks ago with a covid19 app hidden away in the settings.

Why it has not been turned on yet is a mystery. Although if your using google maps and bluetooth in your car for example it is turned on and your not aware of it.

If more people were aware of it then at least they have the option to opt in now even if its just for testing purposes.

The screen shot is from an android phone. Found under settings then google settings. Iphones its under settings and then health.

On iOS it's under Privacy / Health but it's not possible to turn it on as there's no actual contact tracing app to be enabled.
