Hmmm. I wouldn't mind so much if it *actually* did anything to prevent data egress. For example: Port 143 is blocked outbound. (In theory to prevent people emailing stuff past our corporate saftey net) I run my own IMAP server for my personal email. So I run a tunnel over SSH. Makes perfect sense until you find out that port 21 is open.....
