Hi Guys

I know there's a few Aston owners onel here. Apologies for the non-Masser specific content.

Something that always bloody annoyed me was trying to keep the front grille looking good on an AM. The long flat slats easily accumulate dirt and discolour.

I eventually gave up.

Looking for other detailing products for my new car (not an Aston), I found this. It seems perfect for it.

https://www.raceglaze.co.uk/car-care-exterior/metal-chrome/race-glaze-jet-laq-non-paint-laquer/

Note, I've not used this, but I rate the brand and use their other stuff.

Don't know why I never found this when I was an Aston owner. Pretty **** annoying as seems perfect for the task.

No doubt others will find it useful for other items.

Hope it helps someone.

I normally use BiltHamber for this sort of stuff but interesting product, put on the list to get and test...

Speaking of AM detailing (18 months ago), I just noticed the terrible, scratchy, swirly finish on this Vantage!!!

My father in law used his rotary cleaning brush on our DB9 when it was only a week old. I have never forgiven him for it.

Here is an annoying aston grill from 2019. I found this disturbing and decided to keep a record of it…

Grille is a bit “french” isn’t it?

Mrs. Miggins:
Bonjour, Monsieur

Blackadder:
Excuse me.

Mrs. Miggins:
It's French.

Blackadder:
So is eating frogs, cruelty to geese and urinating on the streets.

The French are indeed not to be trusted.

But it has always been clear to me that grill and grille are two perfectly good English words that mean different things. Unfortunately (and this is big news) my go-to dictionary (the 1936 edition of the Shorter Oxford Dictionary) allows BOTH spellings for the sort of 'grating or latticed screen' you find on the front of a Maserati. So I'll have to shut up about it now...
