Hi, My interior mirror is desilvering around the edges so looking at options, has anyone fitted an auto dim mirror on a 4200 spyder I can see there are two plugs behind the interior light housing, 1 twin connector for mic and a triple connector for mirror, I’m getting a negative and a 12v when reverse is selected but only 1.76v on the other with ignition on, is there a fuse on connection that has to be made

I beleive from memory the GranSport has a Chromostatic mirror so yes it should retro fit.

I think the one on my QP5 is the same as the Alfa 166....

The 166 part is a slightly different shape to the 4200 / GS one is slightly squarer than the other and i think the light sensor cut out is in a different place and the cable plugs in at a different point on the back but they are interchangable as far as i know.

Thanks people. Ye seen the 166 Alfa one and think that’s what I will go for.
Just in case it’s of any use to someone
Green and black is positive when reverse is selected to give clear mirror.
Black middle one is earth
White and black is positive with ignition on and (after digging around under the dash and in the fuse boxes for a couple of hours) of cause the lights have to be on “da”

more stock of alfa 159 mirrors, anyone know if these fit? The mounting shoe looks similar, slide onto tapered boss (trapezoidal?).

Great work Cliff
Will order one of these soon. Still suffering from throwing out one rescued from my own 166 Super. Dolt!
Little update, when I fitted it I won’t say it was loose when moving the mirror but wasn’t as tight as my old one, when I took it back off and had a look found the socket cracked in two places, so took the mirror to bits and found the socket can be removed, 4 screws so broke my old mirror open and cut and drilled it to fit in new mirror. Now just looking on eBay at Alfa 166 dim mirrors and they look like they are all cracked on the socket so you mite have to use the ball and socket from old mirror

I did think about one of these but wiring and I think the shoe is different

fitted my (genuine) QP V item in only an hour or so. Much aching arms-above-the-head and raining sticky disintegrated foam. Spent almost as long cleaning my cream seats after sitting on a wodge of sticky stuff for half hour melted me to the chair :)

There is an auto-dim mirror for the QPV?
