Chaps,

I’m a loyal Auto Italia subscriber, and was very excited when the latest issue was posted through the letterbox a few days ago. Ashamed to say that I’ve only just found the time to open it.

It features the Ghibli Cup, the 3200 Assetto Corsa, the GranSport MC Victory and the GranTurismo MC Stradale.

Anyway, turns out that the author of this wonderful article is an SM member - our very own @Nayf

Great stuff - really enjoyed reading it ...

Get a copy if you can!

Didn't know Michael Ward was still alive!
That was Phil Wards son who was appointed to take over the running of the Auto Italia mag a couple of years ago when his dad retired
Shame, as they just keep churning out the same old 1990's stuff, thats if you were around then and not at school!

The AC is good, but unlike the MCV and Cup it isn't as transformative over the standard car. That's essentially how I came up with the eventual ranking, rather than 'best' – which ones are the most special over their normal counterparts. Really it could have been a tie between the MCV and the Cup, but the stark difference between a UK Ghibli II and a Cup is what swung it in the end.

Note: I've yet to drive a standard 2.0 Ghibli II so can't comment on the difference between that and a Cup.

I've juste finished reading the article (for overseas members, you can purchase a digital copy here : https://www.magzter.com/GB/Auto-Italia/Auto-Italia/Automotive/?redirect=true).
Owning 3 of the cars featured (the AC, the MCV, and the ghibli cup -ok, it's the japanese version with the tweaked 2.8l, but for my usage, it's even better), I have the same feeling about these cars and I'll have the same conclusion as the author.

Great article ! Thanks for mentioning it.

Does anyone know where I can buy these 2 magazines on the high st? I assume that WH Smith are closed, I’ve checked at the supermarkets and none in stock. Is it possible to buy digital copies?

If you want to find out if Michael Ward is still alive, post a Auto Italia photo on FB without the Auto Italia acknowledgement, he's a lovely guy and is happy for his photos to be posted with acknowledgment but without the mods would quickly get a message asking for it to be removed or replaced with the correct version.

Still great magazine the photography is always very good

Incorrect! I got my copy from WH Smith last Friday in town but they only had 3 copies then so I'd be quick!!...

Richard I went on to the Auto Italia web site and ordered a hard copy, it arrived today no problem.
Might treat myself to a copy, need to spend these wages somewhere. The familiarity of Auto Italia might be quite re-assuring.

Now that I know that the Strad doesn’t win, is it too late to cancel my order?! :lol2:
