Right
My QPV has not been used much lately and I wish to put a charger onto the battery and get it all ship shape.
In the past (and now) I have removed the leads and the battery itself to get access and attached battery charger crocodile clips.
There is a small metal T Piece that sits on the -ive post. This T Piece does not appear to do anything so can it be removed to get access direct to the -ive post?
The +ive post has a plate above it and obscures the post and it lifts away with release of the +ive clamp. The plate has a whole array of gizmos attached to it including 3 'spare' metal pegs.
So I attach my Lidl special (with a standard 3 pin plug attached) and charge the now removed battery. This then means on reassembly the palaver of resets has to be performed.
I wondered if there was a better way where I could leave the battery in situ and attach the charger without battery disconnection and hence no resets later on.
I see there is a 12V cigarette type supply on the LHS in the boot - could this be utilised?
Perhaps too one of the 'spare' pegs on the +ive terminal plate could also be utilised rather than remove the plate
As I am not an electrical genius please keep any help simple with links, drawings, instructions etc.
Thanks in advance
