Bentley Continental GT getting cheap

Hey, I drove one before Christmas. Extraordinary things. Frankly the interior puts the GT to shame.

One of my 3 next car choices will be a GT Speed. However there are about 2 for sale(1) right now, and they are black on black

They just look and feel so well put together.

I am going to get some hate for this... I like the Conti Gt, only in black, with decent wheels and Mulliner driving pack... even pondered the idea of one as a weekend toy.. this one caught my eye with Supersports while looking at a Quattroporte at the same garage - https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/202007080989936

I have an excuse for the Bentley... i live in Cheshire so it fits right in..

And back to my senses..

Bentley over the new QP everyday of the week....That interior makes the Maserati look like Fisher Price. Plus I'm sure I'll get shot saying it but it's in a different league.

I think the risk is there with any exotic, but, once you make that decision you will get one you need to have a resilience fund put to 1 side.. which on a Bentley would need to be a fairly substantial amount. I also think if you bought into something like that it might have to be a keeper once you stared investing in it... (i say investing i obviously mean burning your money!)

I think it would be horrific and may have lots of posts related to gout, moats, info about debutante balls, title inheritance, how tithe is not taken seriously by peasants oh and peasants....... no 2nd thoughts... i'm in...

There's definitely a gap in the market for something that doesn't take itself too seriously or has its head stuck up its own @rse!

I've already been removed from one Rolls Royce and Bentley (they all seem to join both marques) Faceache group. All I did was post a photo of my new air freshener inside the car ‍♂️. The hoity-toity brigade blew their collective gasket and robustly demonstrated their disapproval. Oh well...

The horrific depreciation of the marque is partially due to the 'if sir has to ask the price, sir cannot afford' attitude for maintenance and repairs. Its still a car chassis that has parts made by Valeo and an internal combustion engine that has oil, coolant, spark plugs etc.
