Best small SUV

Mrs Scaf is very happy with her little Vauxhall Corsa and always resists my offer to upgrade it.
But the in laws are getting on a bit and have mobility issues, so we are now looking tj change it to something that will be easier fo them to access.
Mrs Scaf does not really want a bigger car so a little SUV that is higher and easier to access is what we are looking for.
Nissan Juke would be the right size but is big ugly and I don’t like Nissans.
What else is with looking at ?
3 year old, and a budget of sub £20k

Is a Panda 4x4 too small? They get great reviews, similar size to the Corsa for Mrs Scaf and sit slightly higher for the aged P's?

There's a 'big' Fiat 500. Maybe 500X or L. I've been in one as a taxi and it was surprisingly spacious on the inside. Room for two checked-baggage size cases and two adults in the bank. Worth a look.

Panda 4x4's are indeed excellent, as would be a 500X, I looked at the X a few years ago but ended up with a Yeti due the residuals at the time.

One of the last Yeti's should also be good at 3 years old, had a diesel auto and never had a problem at all.

Our in-laws have been searching for a new car to replace their aged BMW, we have tried them with a couple of small SUV but they actual find it harder to get into a higher vehicle than 'falling' into their 3 series, they are almost 90!... so back to one of those then.

I can only give you what not to get

Evoque - uncomfortable as a passenger, poor boot, not great visibility especially the front

Nissan Juke - stupidly small inside, absolutely terrible visibility everywhere

Vauxhall Mokka/Mocha/Moca - we’ve not got enough time to list all the bad points.

We hired a 500X in Italy for 2 weeks, we loved it. It did everything we needed it to, took 3 of us around in comfort and on some of those italian B roads with no problems.

You mean it's fugly, terrible to be seen in it?

That as well. But you could easily crash into Basingstoke without seeing it.

But if you can’t see out no one can see in so some benefits. Fortunately a hire car from work along with the Vauxhall thing

Am sure someone else in here was saying good things about them a few months ago.
That's probably me! I'm a confirmed car tart! I'm on my 5th car this year but what has been my constant companion? A Yeti. I'm on my second Yeti and have owned my current one since new for 5 years. Absolutely no intention to change. They are smooth on the motorway, easy to park in the city, great all round visibility, versatile with flexible seating and totally reliable. Only downsides, rubbish internal plastics and pointless warranty as never required!
