Beta Spyder Project

Thank you for your comments on my previous thread about the quandary that I was in about one of my previous cars

Did I buy it back? Of course I did!
Yes, it's probably beyond economic repair but it is the one car that I have always regretted parting with but the lure of a Delta Integrale was too much at the time.
I owned it from 1995 to 1999 and it had a light restoration during my ownership which turned out pretty well

It's not looking quite to resplendent now but I'm glad it's back with me and I shall cover it up and forget about it until next year before I decide what to do with it.
This is it now, in the glorious Fenland sunshine, hopefully drying out a little, before going into hibernation. I won't be updating this thread quite like I do with the Trofeo project, but hopefully I can save it and get it back on the road one day

Looking forward to seeing any and all updates. As you know, I also had a Beta Spyder and also miss it.

Silver is now a pretty rare colour - most have been repainted (mine was originally silver and restored to red).

There are some hard to find parts missing (hopefully you got a few boxes of bits) but there is an active forum (ex BetaBoyz) that I still drop into.

Well done Stu....I would love to find and own some of the cars from my past. Look forward to hearing how you get on.

Having seen some complete lake-bottom find Porsche 356's restored to concourse, that looks like an excellent starting point. Don't forget that spares, materials and techniques often get better as these special cars demand increases. Keep the faith!

Reminds me of Beta Cars on the outskirts of Bradford in the 90's when I had my Lancia Y10 Turbo.
I think they ceased trading probably 20 years ago or so.
Was the mecca for all Lancia stuff at the time.

Thanks for the encouragement everyone, looking forward to getting stuck into it next year.

I will keep you updated and possibly bending your ears for some expertise too!
