Bluetooth audio quality for speech

I'm happy with the audio quality for radio in my 2013 GTS as I just play Radio 5 Live via an aux cable from my iPhone. However, the voice quality on Bluetooth for telephone conversations is very poor - people on the other end complain that they can't hear me or that it is breaking up. Is this everyone else experience? And is there a simple fix? Better microphone?

That’s odd, I have a 2010 GTS and find the Bluetooth works perfectly well.

On the other Maserati site (MaseratiLife.com), I believe that there is thread on this as well.
The "consensus" was strangely that the TYPE of phone that matters (i.e. iPhone vs. Samsung vs. other brands) tends to affect the quality of the call received.
Personally I have a Samsung S8+ w/Verizon mobile and I always get complaints on my call quality.

Thanks, will check out the ML thread. I have an iPhone 8 which has Bluetooth 5 which is supposed to be 100% backwards compatible. Will report back if I have any success in improving quality.
