Definitely as you have full access and height for the underside of the car.Other than storage and height, is there any other advantages to having a 2 post over a scissor?

You can get 4-post lifts that give you a wheels free option, I guess this is the optimal compromise if you can only have one and are storage orientated over spanners. Personally my only issue with the two post I have is I could use another couple of feet of space each end to be able to get all the motors centre of gravity spot on and still be able to open the doors easily.
A lot have a centre cross bar, this one doesn'tScissor lifts makes working on sills problematic and often stops gearboxes being dropped
A drive on platform scissior lift would probably suit me best. Can you then use jacks on the platform to lift the car up so that the wheels are free to be removed?
Wheels hang free on a scissor lift. Engineering out a problem that doesn't exist.very very risky imo and an accident waiting to happen, A BIG NO FROM ME ON THAT, if you have a good plot have thought about a proper 2 post or 4 post ramp fitted outside somewhere
That’s the type, yes. Can do most of what I want with those except ‘wheels off’ jobs.
Actually, just found it. https://www.automotechservices.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/AS-8250P-spec-high.pdf
With the jacking beam I think that’ll do me fine. Thanks.
anyone got any experience of these?

I can’t lift all my cars on the sills as some are 85yrs old and don’t have usual jacking points. Hence drive on is the only option for those. My lift is an Automotecservices and it is a very solid bit of kit.
I’m not sure why you are going for that ramp and then another device to lift it to remove the wheels. If you get one which you drive over it’s a doddle to get the wheels off, or leave them on and do whatever. And save £2k.
