Was watching Twenty 12 yesterday, BBC comedy series about 2012 Olympics and even then Boris Johnson was portrayed as an idiot.

How the fook did he ever get to be PM? The General Public are idiots too......

:) My question was mostly genuine since I have not read the deal papers. Another point: Can a fisherman settled in Belfast fish everywhere in British waters and sell the fish in Dublin?
Depends if under the Belfast Agreement he identifies himself as British, Irish or both!

You’ll struggle to blow someone up with 2lbs of frozen prawns.

Having worked in the frozen food section of my local Co-Op supermarket when I was a teenager, I can confirm that you can do a lot of damage to someone with frozen food.
Especially when thrown at their head when they are not expecting it. :worried1:

I worked in frozen food too. Turkeys were good throwing and apparently indestructible

Katherine Hamnett on the BBC just appeared to say she was surprised to get hit with VAT and admin charges shipping t-shirts in from the EU. How on earth can this be a surprise?

Fair point if she is buying off a small trader as a consumer, but it would be a surprise if she is buying wholesale. The seller should be deducting local VAT and declaring the items as exported, at least making sure that she doesn’t pay VAT twice.

Alternatively if she is buying as a consumer on a platform like FarFetch, they are making sure that the same thing happens.

She’s the woman who did the t shirts with words on isn’t she? As seen in Wham! videos etc. She ought to know better!!!

I’ve had graphite out of a nuclear reactor thrown at my feet. The lads in the graphite labs called it ‘The Graphite Dance’.
