In my non expert and simplistic view, the EU was a novel idea at its time of inception. Fast forward to 2015 and considerably more than 12 member states, the project fails to work for all members in some form or another.

-Taking a broader view on the financial system for example, you don't need to look far for evidence of a weak currency and regulation (Greece, Portugal, Spain and even Italy and now Germany).

-Free movement doesn't work either, each country has its own pressures and all have felt the recent crises (namely Germany, Greece, France, Italy)

Without going into a depth of detail, The UK and other states such as Switzerland etc shouldn't be exceptions, you're either in or out and accept everything that comes with those decisions. To have your own set of conditions only complicates an already complicated concept.

I always found this strange, to be part of the EU, sort of :/

... which with experience, is a philosophy we should embrace for organising all future SM trips and tours! ;)

Have my own business, out out out out all day long.
+removing all the foreign fishing vessels from our waters
would be nice.

Fisheries is the thing that winds me up....Latvian super trawlers have huge quotas to fish in our waters but are policed by Latvian authorities when they return to port....who knows what they are landing(undersize/non quota fish)....small (<10m) irish/british boats dont have quota to fish in the same areas!! .... Another joke is that in Donegal a charter fisherman targets bluefin tuna( fairly endangered) and tags all his fish as Ireland (and i would guess UK) dont have a tuna quota.(illegal to land even 1 fish).BUT trawlers from Spain, Portugal can fish within a few miles of our coast for the same fish as they have a quota from their own waters!! Its all wrong.....Lets get out and manage our own fisheries like Norway and allocate some of the EU money to making our great NHS even better...

Rant over.....

Admittedly most of my friends are over 50 but so far of the 15 or so people I've spoken to I've only found one who'll vote to stay in

I think it's the older generation who are fed up with being lied to
