Personally, yes too much blue imo.

Given the colour of the rockers indicated the type of engine im not sure why one would change them... maybe the plenum to match the callipers?

I think a yellow plenum would be even worse than a blue plenum! lol

Imo i think the plenum should only be in gold or black like the trofeo car. Silver is fine too, red is a bit OTT but it looked fine in some of the earlier pictures.

I am currently in contact of the actual manufacturer of the paint can sold by Kcolors and they are potentially going to try and colour match the Maserati "Beige/Gold" used on 3200 (throttle body cover). Does anyone know if this is the same colour as the Gold 4200 Intake Manifold or are they different.? If different is anyone able to provide a small part to send for colour matching purposes - ie not the intake manifold ( unless of course anyone knows the correct paint code from Maserati?)

I bought from KC Color and Christian Bertolini. I looked long and hard at every other easily available wrinkle paint but either too dark, light or pink. KC Color is/was the supplier of wrinkle paint for Ferrari,Maserati and Lamborghini.

Can we get little touch up tins rather than large rattle cans?... a small chip can soon accelerate to a larger flak and peal.

Would be good to catch these before they accelerate.

The ones I got was 250ml tin cans with screw on cap. But once it's opened you have limited time - probably not useable next season. As for touch up with wrinkle paint on cracks and flaking - I've tried it a few times on other cars and the result is not bad. Really close up it is visible but otherwise ok. Thorough degreasing and a heat gun for wrinkling is the method I used. Good cleaning of entire part and matching paint will increase the success factor a lot.

I can ask about smaller touch up tins but as Arvid points out the 250mL cans of paint are much more expensive than spray and have a shelf life. In the first instance I am trying to get someone to agree to try and match the paint colour at an affordable(ish) cost. I will keep all posted. Still interested to know if its the same gold paint used across 3200 and 4200 range of inlet mainfolds

Check on Ebay. This is where I bought the K colours Maserati wrinkle paint. Can touch up the cam covers with a fine brush. Works brilliantly.

Hi all

Left a separate thread on this but realised should have left it on this one.

Painted my cam covers.
Purchased vht blue and mixed it with some black as it seemed a little vibrant.
In retrospect would have done just blue but wasnt sure how it was going to turn out.
I painted in situ using a long thin brush.
Considering how it was done and what it cost ( £18.95 with postage for the paint ) I'm pleased with the results.
Bit of a messing about but certainly achievable with a bit of patience.
