You should really attempt to wipe it all off Loz mate before it sets.
It just makes the job look more professional

I did Dave, and underneath, Loctite 510 doesn't set until compressed or heated, it just wiped off.

Not in the pics you didn't... you can get Loctite 510 in black which looks lots better on ali castings

I think factory spec is between 0.15 and 0.2?. I stand to be corrected on that though, it's OK I reckon. Engine stopped, it's an Auto measured moving the crank back then fully forward.

How do you move the crank in an auto? Literally push and pull it?
My end float needs to be measured.

Yes gently lever it back off the subrame then lever it forward between pulley and block. I was quite happy bearing in mind it has nearly 100k miles on it.

thanks. mine is far from pristine so happy to use clutch or crowbar.
Just need to borrow a dial gauge.

This is to check the crankshaft float. Useful to see if it is critical.
