Any recommendations for good, reasonably priced insurance when I get my first Maserati, a Quattroporte V within the next couple of months?

I used Direct Line, West Yorkshire postcode, QP5, fully comp, £435 a year it is now, was £400 but I can't find cheaper so I sucked up the increases. Covers me 100% in the Republic too which is where I nominally work and take the car avoiding the Garda and the Revenue, managed it for two years now! I'll be buggered when I go to next gig though, Luxembourg.

Should point out no convictions, speeding points expired yonks ago.

Similar driving licence to me.
Thanks for the heads up wanderer.
I will try Direct Line when the time comes.

I'd recommend Keith Michaels (broker) who put me with Ageas 0845 3373380

If using comparison sites be aware that insurance goes up the closer you get to 'need date' right now advise seems to be to get quotes around 22-25 days ahead.
Price also changes by day and time! Possibly mid week and around 5 ish is best (fewer people looking!)
Same car and driver can vary up to 30% with same insurer!!

With regard to comparison websites always set your browser to private browsing mode. That way they can’t see if your a returning punter. I’ve found that the more you get quotes on the same web site the more the price creeps up. Same with holidays.

Just renewed. AIB were extremely competitive and I would have jumped from Adrian Flux. However Adrian Flux matched it and offer agreed value (at £52extra) which AIB don't do until the car is 25 year old. Given the market value vs how much has been spent keeping the car up to scratch I really wanted to have an agreed value. All in now cheaper than last year which is a result, given that they originally wanted to increase it by more than 15%!

I renewed with Adrian Flux as price was good and like above they will give you agreed value which is getting important due to the low resale values but reflects the amount of money you plough into it to keep it mint .

Must sort my agreed value, did the whole Adrian Flux thing earlier in the year but with the car on the lift I couldn't get the value bit done. Mind you with all the planned work I may as well wait till it is back to mint!

Tried a few of these to see if I could get better EU cover:

1. Adrian Flux, nope, because of COVID won't consider EU driving.

2. Saga, nope my car is too 'sporty' and although my licence is EU (Irish) won't consider.

3. Keith Michaels, rang me back, he couldn't hear me, hung up. I rang back, couldn't hear me, he hung up .

4. AIB, called, couldn't hear me, hung up

Might be a problem with my line but spoke to my existing insurer without issues;

5. Direct Line, cant get full EU 12 months, got 3 for 127 quid, and advised by the the chap to enquire at the EU end, they will insure UK plated cars AUIU and it's usually cheaper.

Tried Dicky's one but it was enquire online and TBH I've had enough for today. Stuck with DL

Perhaps DL have better phones?

Aviva online,£450 all in, for the Maser and the 500, up £40 quid from last year
3 months EU cover thrown in on both cars
You even get £20 off per car if you do the stuff online
