crossed wires I think, I doubt a 15 plate maserati has been traded in for 15k unless it's wrapped round a tree, I think a 2005 maserati has been traded in for 15k against an F type but not the V8 tyre scorcher because it was 2 cups of starbucks a week extra to tax it

I think that's right
It will have been 10k trade for the 2005 maserati they will send to auction and 5k overpricing on the F type

Trade ins will always play on people's psychology. As long as the OP is happy with the balance offered, that's all that matters.

And the dealer will possibly struggle to get £10k at auction... so you can either offer the OP £15k to take the car now or wait to see if you get lucky and spot it at auction for less plus money in the war chest.

If ADG offered me £7k plus my car on their GS that is being offered at £20k I would likely take it. Then again @zagatoes30 might say it is a dog.

They are keeping the Maserati and putting it in there showroom, the car is mint,as to 5k overpriced ?? I have a freind in jaguar and he said it was 1k too much,I think it was the timing and condition of my car that made it

Why would I say it's a dog? ADG is a long way from me

Sorry, crossed wires, I thought you were going to look at the GS at ADG. Your red avatar confused me, I think it might be @BuckRog64 that is going to have a look.

Someone recently traded a QP for an Aston and the dealer listed the QP. It seems mint examples will be considered as stock for dealers. Compare that with the debacle at Lancaster Maserati Colchester as to whether or not they could even offer to the public a car they had taken in.

It was a very special car with low mileage and superb condition - I know the car. It was a beautiful example.
And if I'd have known it was going for a trade in I would have swapped and paid any difference on the value if they would have taken mine :too_sad:
