I’m late to this game, no real interest in cars as a kid, music mad, didn’t even learn to drive till I was 27. Still have the guitars but now really enjoy working on and driving my cars, funny how your interests change over time.

I always wanted a Mini. Loved the Italian Job, 1st car, done. 3rd car was another, girlfriend drove it and had to have one too, so we had a pair of them.

When I was 13, Lotus unveiled the Elise S1. I vowed I’d have one, and on my 25th birthday went to look at a 70s Fiat 124 Spider, saw an Elise on the forecourt for double the price and bought it!

My bedroom walls as a kid were covered in Ferraris. 308, Testarossa, 348, F40, 355, 456...
Maybe one day!

A better picture of this gem adorned my uni wall. I think it may have been from Supercar Classics. I don’t know where the poster went, but I think the car ended up with Ralph Lauren.
