Carbon Ceramic Brake care

Having just acquired a Strad which has Carbon Ceramic brakes, how careful do I need to be when cleaning?
Lots of horror stories that they can be damaged if they absorb wheel cleaning products / car shampoo.

Anyone know if how true this is.

12 pages here of argument and discussion. Don't use acid wheel cleaner I think is the main concern. And use them hard when you can.

I use snow foam on the body but avoid the wheels and don’t use anything with silicone in it in that area. It that’s just me.

In line with current maximum uk speeds, I am assuming brakes are surplus to requirement.
