Morning - the trim in the drivers side rear seat area has come loose at the back (and is vibrating annoyingly if the exhaust vales are open and the throttle blips as you change down). It looks like it should be hooked over the top of the piece of metal behind but I really don't want to break it forcing it in. Has anyone had any experience in replacing / fixing these pieces at all? Many thanks !!!!! 6822068221

I believe that the carbon trim is just glued to the aluminum backing piece which in turn is held in with pins into the main interior panel. So if the carbon is just lifting from the backing piece, it will just need gluing back on - that is what happened to one of my pieces on the Stradale. The carbon piece wasn't so much hooked over the aluminum section, it just wraps around the edges.
Ironically, the carbon piece with the aluminum section was heavier than the regular black plastic section that it replaced (I 'upgraded' my interior trim from nero soft to carbon) so much for carbon weight saving ...

Silly isn't it? Purely for show! I couldn't believe how much heavier my carbon ones are compared to the Grigio chrome ones on my previous car.

You can remove the trim that will save a mess and glue run down your soft panel.

They are held on with 4 or so pop studs, the tricky bit is getting the first end one popped without marking the soft panel.

Best method is to slide a thin metal strip to lever off, I use a feeler gauge.

One the first one is popped it’s easy.

I did break one on my GS years ago by not levering it properly so just ease it and you will be fine.

CF is made of epoxy gel surrounding the CF material then lacquered and polished. I would use Epoxy/Araldite to stick it back down, just mask the top to save a mess.
