I did notice the stone chip and door edge scrape when I viewed but didn't spot the over spray! There is also a small kerb mark on one of the alloys. The paintwork is in poor condition (swirling) and will require a detail. All stuff that can be fixed fairly easily but obviously you need to build the cost of all this in to your bid.

The damage in the last photo (by the door handle) looks really unusual, no way would I be paying top dollar.

With a little care and patience that could have looked so much better. The door edge is a great example, if they had built that up in stages and then lightly sanded followed by a polish you probably wouldn’t have spotted it. What a strange way to treat a special car. Nothing money can’t fix, just needs to be priced correctly

Looks like a typical low mileage ‘London’ car, parked on the street and used/abused in the city… dread to think what the clutch and brake disc wear is like. Probably replicating a far higher mileage car.

Well if you are thinking of buying a rosso magma centennial Strad in mint condition, ping Dicky… He’s got one coming into stock imminently….

Very special car with "recorded" Odometer Reading: 3612 ( no wish to cast doubt but does condition match the paperwork?)

Having seen the pictures how much did the previous owner care for the car? Hardly at all it would seem. Car is still quite new and likely to be barely worn at all. The cosmetic stuff can of course be fixed. Only a paint expert can advise about blending in paint repairs, but my own experience is to paint a whole panel. Getting a good match on three layer paint might take an expert or several attempts.
How much mechanical sympathy has been shown to the car would be my primary concern.

A few years back I had a couple of years living in an upper floor flat that overlooked a specialist ppf/valeting buisness in south Manchester.
High end ferraris/Lamborghinis etc were often always there, amongst other all high end stuff. They be left for several days for work to be done, but when they were picked up by the (usually fairly young) owners the mechanical sympathy shown was zero.
They were clearly stone cold and they’d rev them as soon as they were started up, then as they pulled out of the yard to head up the road towards the A34 dual carriageway, they’d nail them in 1st and 2nd, followed by wringing them out even more once they hit the dual carriageway. You could here them for about a mile! Often thought what long term damage they may be doing.
Seemed odd to me wanting to spend ‘000’s protecting the paint then immediately doing your best to destroy your engine/gearbox!

Hi Mike
That does surprise me, it's a super car and I would have thought a keeper.
Very tempted by it but it would just be a garage queen and I already have three of those.
In fact I am thinking of realigning and cutting back on numbers.
Hope all is well
Regards Geoff

Hi Geoff

Thanks for the note and Happy New Year to you+family, I’ve done exactly the same as you’re thinking and cut my numbers down as my various cars aren’t getting used - but I will probably kick myself and regret it. My all time favourite the GranCabrio is also sold now too. I just have far too many cars now just gathering dust, especially with COVID lockdowns and ongoing restrictions with several cars shows cancelled etc ….The Testarossa needs my time on it to sort out various bits, then the Oldsmobile.

Will definitely stay in touch and look forward to catching up with you & all soon.

Best Regards
Mike

Have 2 cars coming up for sale, a mint Porsche 993RS in Riviera, and an Audi 2011 Sepang blue R8V10 if anyone wants to p/ex for a Centennial in Rosso Magma.. Plus lots of dosh in the case of the 993RS, which is only going one way in appreciation terms. A long shot, but you never know..!
