Silly question, but I am still a true Maserati virgin. :)
My 3200 GT has a manual in French. and I m not very good in reading that language.

How am I supposed to check the oil? Running engine?

Thanks,

Ton

Indeed, done cold, make sure its well up to the max and only use Selina Racing. You will find your car burns the dipstick MAX to MIN margin in about 1000 miles.

It was half way the dipstick margin. I filled it up to max
But after I fueled it up yesterday the oil level light went on. Does this happen more often?

When I arrived back home and started it again the light was off again.

Ton don't sweat, it does come on every 4th fill up or so just as percussion to remind you to check the oil. Open and close the bonnet will clear it as it assumes you have checked the oil.

Dem I know what you mean mine only use to come on in one garage I think it was the steep slope that triggered it.

It's deffinately geared to the fuel filler cap.being opened, maybe because of the slope it triggers it.

It definitely feels "Italian". :)
Ferrari's have the same kind of issues. :)
It is good to know that it happens more often. Are there more issues on a 3200 GT that I should know about?

Yesterday I filled up the car and when I opened the door again the alarm went off. That makes you feel a bit silly.
How long does it take before the system arms itself again after you closed your door but did not lock it?

Again ive never had issues with the alarm so cant answer that...
Sorry, but it is tempermental being italian so if its electrics its alright as long as its now and again, if it happens everytime then get it looked at

I have some experience with Italian cars, so I don't worry that easy. :)
It is for me what distinct these cars from the German brands. They have a soul and a temper. :)
