Classic car conundrum

I’ve had several e types, a db6, 70s V8 Aston- they all are potentially **** to drive if you buy a bad one , but a properly sorted 6 cylinder e type, with better brakes really is a lovely thing to own.
Still think they are sensibly priced in comparison to the 60s Astons

This argument appears to be a mute point because we all know the answer is one of these.....

Love the XJ range and don't they now look dainty against the majority of today's cars.
Certainly Great cars to drive and one of my all time favourites was my 77 XJC which could embarrass many on the road with its abilities.

Have to agree an XJC is a car I would love to own, but too big for current garage.

I have had to rule out the Healey as it’s just too tight (I am 6’3 and carry a few pounds).

I am seriously looking at the Tiger, but have never sat it one so am a little worried about leg room in that as well. The one I am looking at it in Harrogate so I don’t really have the option of sitting in it to find out.

The E-Type is such a charismatic and iconic car though. I keep on looking at ads and yes they are pricy but to drive around in one of those….

I worked on restoring a series 1.5 coupe many many years ago. If you can get one that is well restored and well taken car of, which would require a bit of time and research, I’m sure it would be more than worthwhile. The E-Type definitely has my vote!

Thanks for your kind words, it’s a significant purchase for me, but it’s a top quality car that should always return my money so my man maths says money in the bank, not money spent :p

Once I get it I will post more detailed pics.

I like to think these cars are the “thinking man’s Cobra” ;)
