I did mine over the winter, just fit the Alfa166 stalk with cruise on it, its plug and play, works straight away, nothing else to add, the wiring plug is already there.

Plug and play... quiet a few electronic items are built in but pennies were save on switchs... or just a way of making £££ on extras.

I have done this to two coupes, remarkably my first low end 4200 had it standard.

Most surprising was retro fitting Sat Nav. Just a flash of the NIT and a sat nav antenna was all it requires, and Maserati wanted £1.5k.

Another oldie but thanks very much for this.
Couldn’t find a new one but my indicators look fairly new so bought a second hand one that the indicator return wasn’t working on and transplanted the cruise stalk into mine, working spot on so thanks again

Slightly unrelated but if my indicator stalk can signal left with no issue, has all the hazard lights working but can only indicate right occasionally does that mean my stalk is broken?

My indicator stalk can signal left with no issue, but right is not working and hazard lights are not working either.

Is this more likely to be an indicator relay? And where is it located?

Had similar on the alfa. No right turn but left and hazards ok. Switched out the relay and all good.

Just out of interest, it looks very much like only second hand parts are available. Given my desire to do some longer journeys in my new beastie, is it worth taking the risk on a second hand unit? Autolusso have one up for sale on ebay, but it looks like one of the self cancelling prongs has rounded off.

Worth a punt?

Thanks as always

I think someone has come up with a fix for the self cancelling issue, in a recent post.

I went used, it was fine.

The one in my car was good but the one I bought with cruise control wasn’t self cancelling so made one out of the two

I've made an offer on the autolusso part. I think it's a no brainer upgrade to do, especially as I intend to keep the car long term and actually use it.

Must start a monthly slush fund aswell at some point. Full service tomorrow :conf1:

Autolusso accepted the bid, so I'll be attempting to fit the cruise control stalk sometime next week (all being well).

My car is fitted with an electrical isolator, did they come from the factory like that?

There should be one by the battery
