Now at £8,950... bargain to be driven and enjoyed or evil temptress that will break your heart and the bank?

Is an AC to a 3200 as much the sum of the parts as a GS is to a 4200?

AC is the one to go for. It’s sort of the MC Victory of the 3200 as a comparison. 75 in the UK, thicker ARB’s, quicker steering rack, lowered etc...

If your looking for a bargain 3200 AC.. well, It drives fine and has a low miles engine replacement
It just needs a few weekends of faffing to knock it into shape..

For me though, the red 3200GTA he also has for sale is a nicer car!

Now at £7,950. Surely it is at the price point where the only place left for it to go pricewise is to be broken.

Seems such a shame. Will someone rescue it?

Market is dead right now honestly. I hate selling cars privately at the best of times but my experience recently with the GTS has put me off completely. Most of my friends are going to WBAC as it is so much easier despite the lower price.

A Cat AC with a new engine isn't exactly the best provenance car so not at all surprised. I'd say £7500 is fair value.

I went to WBAC to sell my Merc, but then put it on Ebay with a reserve of what WBAC would give me.

Got a grand more on eBay when I started it at 99p. I think that might be the best way forward if you need a quick sale.

It was indeed my old car and much loved - not sure its past was that chequered! Daily driver for past 9 years with monstrous stack of bills/service history via Shiltech and engine replaced with a 25k unit 10,000 miles ago -someone snap it up , I cant bear the thought of the old girl being broken for parts!

I recently bought one - can't afford a spare. Can only just afford the one I have. How about the Forum buying it - paying for the breakage and divvying the parts? Spare part surgery with a heart... Sad to see. Feel for you.
