It depends doesn't it? No one really knows what a 4c or the v6 exige is going to be like.

4c has it on looks, interior (if its anything like the concept) and low weight - question marks for me are reliability, handling and weight distribution. Plus will it actually make it to the road in anything like the form it has now.

Exige has it on proven handling, power, reliability - question marks are weight, weight distribution, looks and that cost, which really is a bit on the steep side for what you'll be getting. Personally I think this will struggle to match a honda'd S1 or even S2 elige both on the road and on the track.

Weight and weight distribution might make the new exige slower round some circuits than you might imagine. In the twisties those two factors may bring it down to a lower level than a standard exige. The Elise playground at abbeville might be quite a challenge for it - well see.

I won't dismiss the 4c until we know more about it. I've heard that a few ex lotus people have done some consulting work on a light weight italian sports car - might be the 4c, might be something else. Again, well find out in a year or two

Not sure Dem.......Haven't seen performance figs for either cars but I would have thought the Exige would be the faster and better car on track but who knows until they have been driven....

They will sell Adam......If you notice they are only building to order and to individual spec......No type approval......They bought out a limited number out East and all sold out in a week........Lotus will sell everyone they make...Expect this to be very rare and as good as some of the stripped out exotic.....But yes a lot of pennies.

Not saying it wont sell as any car can sell, just need the right person/people to buy it. What i mean is i would never buy it, £130k in an Evora is mad, i think 70k on an Evora S is potty.

All depends Adam on what the car is like to drive.....If I was in the market for that type of car and wanted to be individual and not run of the mill with the usual Ferrari etc it would be on my list....There are lots of people out there that wants something different ......
