Door Mirror Removal on 4200

Hi folks - I'm going to need to take my drivers door mirror off this next week (and I am nowhere near the car just now) and trying to plan ahead.
It looks like a fairly straightforward piece of work - but after all it IS a Maserati so would be great if someone could let me know what surprises are headed my way?
I don't know what secures the door cards / trim to the door itself - would be nice if it was all screws and bolts but I guess there will be plastic trim buttons involved somewhere - if this is so does anyone know size/type/source of supply for them?

Thanks in advance.

There's a how to about door card removal. It's quite simple. Then the mirror is held on by a large notched nut thing

Put masking tape or some such on the leather, further decreases the chance of damage where you are levering.

I would use pallet/putty knife or paint scraper as it will still deform through thin tape and a dent will remain. They may come out over time but its not worth the risk.
