That is a GS I would suggest as front bumper has a vent at the side.
I see what you are saying Dean, but like myself, they could have purchased a GS splitter and popped it on (apparently it takes a bit more than popping)!! I need to get mine down to the spray shop!!

GS with 18in for comfort, the 19 crack in Australia. I cracked a GS 19 on the way to that event and the tyre went flat two weeks after I arrived home 1400km round trip

Hi Shane,

Agree that is lovely and more suitable for country ( non freeway ) roads. Good colour to hide brake dust too.
From your photos it looks like I'll have serious competition if you show up to the club concours and picnic day in the Hunter Valley this year.

Received through Motorsport Australia an opportunity to compete at Challange Bathurst, a regulatory event designed to get people on the track. The idea is to nominate a time and see if you can stay close to it however you can change your nominated time as you post faster times. Requirments are R spec tyers, M/A speed license, fire suit boots helmet ect. So Mother superior and I headed off in the motel on wheels (Sprinter) 5 hours to the great challenge called Mount Panorama. This track is a public road only closed a few times a year so it is a great privilege to be able to compete. Thursday and Friday was a shakedown for the February 12 hour GT race which brings teams from around the world, there were very impressive teams attending.7911879119

That’s a great life experience, some track too. Love driving it on some of the video games.

I'd love to drive Mount Panorama (to give it it's correct name I believe).

Those turns at the top of the hill look a bit testing.

As I bet are your brakes at the bottom of Conrod Straight (best name bit of track anywhere, especially anything named Hamilton).

Hi Shane, what speed did you hit down Conrod?
What parts of the circuit did the GS have advantage over those around you?

Me to Mark....Think it's one of my all time favourite tracks.

My first race at Mount Panorama was Easter, 1963 - in my daily-driver VW Beetle. Came away with the 1000-1300 lap record. Drove home, and to work on Monday in the Beetle! Since then I've driven there a few times - including 1963 Armstrong 500 - and regard that track as the ultimate driving experience. A couple of years back, son Dave gave me a drive of his 2000 model Lotus Exige, at a Lotus track day. Fantastic! "2m 55s, not bad for an old codger, remarked Dave".

I bet that was epic.

I have a colleague from Aus. He told me he had a 5 litre Ute when he was 17 and it was the smallest engine in his group. Was there a lot of competition? :D
