I'm considering a Ferrari 575M, but struggling to find out if I'm going to have an issue with E10 fuel.

I know sale of Super Unleaded E5 will continue, for now at least, but where I live and drive, it's by no means guaranteed that Super is on the menu. (Also understand that there are currently no additives that resolve the issue).

Any definitive feedback would be much appreciated.

There are loads of additives available.
Is the problem the ethanol, or no super available.
Does the 575M need super over regular as specified by Ferrari?

I definitely have an issue with Super availability where I live, at least not guaranteed.

I've not read anything confirming that additives address the fundamental issues that come with E10.

I'm in no way scientifically qualified on this stuff. I just want to make sure that I don't commit to spending a lot of money on a car and ending up snookered in terms of anxiety every time I need to fill up.

I've an issue with my Mitsubishi Pinin as Mitsubishi don't recommend any E10 fuel because of the high pressure direct injection fuel pump. Both due to the reduced lubrication and corrosion.
As a result and a bit research I've just bought some:
There appears to be many additives for E10, mainly for corrosion protection, but not many claim to offer additional lubrication, but this one does.
The problem is you just don't know if their claims are correct.
Was watching a video last night testing sta-bil fuel stabiliser, and the conclusion was that it did basically F-A and that brand is basically one of the biggest sellers in the US!

This whole thing has created a market for snake oil. Sell some stuff to offset the perceived negative effects of ethanol, if in the 1% of cases there is a failure you’ll not be liable anyway. In other parts of the world cars are run on rubbish, high sulphur, contained fuel, and we are here worrying about a sniff of ethanol.

Still, on the other hand, I will happily sell anyone a bottle of my ethanol fuel water absorption defence fluid for a tenner each. Just a cap full per tank will make you feel much better.

Maybe I should ask this the other way around... why should I not buy a 575M.

I'm just trying to research, but could do with making a decision soon, probably tomorrow.

If anyone on here has experience, I'd be keen to hear.

Planning to run a big GT alongside my Lotus Exige.

No experience of a 575, but I’d say, if you can, you should, especially if it’s a manual!

I can't run to a manual, but have no big issues with F1.
Just looking for any big show stoppers. I can afford maintenance, but if I can't get the right fuel (e.g. Scotland/NC500) that's an issue.

I have a deposit down on a Lotus Emira, but there's a total lack of hard facts post Goodwood and feel a little 'strung along' by the hype. Hence looking at other options that interest me.
