I think I was right then! Just leaves the question of the cam cover colours and why they went wet sump with the auto - must be engine position and there's still no way anyone will convince me the autos have a better front/rear balance than the DS's, it defies physics.........

I'm sure they possibly could have stuck with dry sump autos, unless something was in the way, more probably money cost saving.
Yes, balance drysump/rear transaxle is superior to wetsump/engine autobox.

But don't the Maserati figures say the opposite - the auto is better balanced according to blurb? I might have misread it though....

If they did say it, it's BS...
Why go to the expense of a rear transaxle if not for better weight distribution, the rear transaxle balancing out the front engine.
Slapping a gearbox straight to the back of an engine with a rear diff is always easier and cheaper, and more popular as a result.
When you look at the GranTourismo they really did cheapen it down underneath. Wet sump with autogearbox mostly. Hardly a high end sports car.
The 42/GS and early QP are a proper high end sports car in comparison, tech wise.

DS is Duo-Select, aka Cambiocorsa, MC Shift, e-Gear, F1. The manual gearbox with a robotised clutch, so no clutch pedal and full-on paddle-action...
Again I'm not sure but it looks like yours is an auto as I cant see the M/A (Manual/Auto) button which really means Paddles/No Paddles

I've got the ZF gearbox, blue cam covers. I made sure that I avoided Duo-Select/Cambiocorsa, uncle Tom Cobbley... Here's what's on my console

One dealer tried to sell me a very nicely presented '05MY saying it was ZF yet had the red cam covers and the small alu switch on console. Obviously stuck with the thing -- he then went on to say he'd do a diagnostic showing there was ⅔ clutch left!

EasyMAS 2020 update

We are pushing foward for release but had recent success with ECU's on the B-CAN bus.

So the aim is :-

The system USB or BT will be first sold with :-

F1 Gearbox ECU
Skyhook ECU
Steering ECU
Engine ECU (OBDII)
Airbag ECU
ABS ECU
Instrument Cluster ECU

Later - Free update :-

Engine ECU (Enhanced)

The support for models and years will be specified later after testing.

Regards
Steve

Great!! Impatient for the version that can write KISS point. Can't imagine the amount of reverse engineering that went into this effort. Great Job!
