F1 reverse control

Hi, has anyone pulled the circuit board out of one of these as I think there are resistors behind these two connections and after the ohms resistance of them.

I have these apart quite often, what's the issue your trying to diagnose?
Hi, no issue, I have an early 2002 cc and this is of a 2005-7 cc. Looking at the circuit board there are only 2 connections for reverse and forward number 3 and 4 counting from the left. So to go forward is just a switched voltage by resistance difference same as the paddles. I would prefer forward on the reverse lever so if anyone has the resistances for these two I will see if my TCU accepts the voltage signal and switches to forward.

OK so that makes sense, and I do recall ether CC already had it or it's from QP/612 onward there is a processor in that unit that gives a com signal if that's the case it isn't that easy.
As i know there are 3 basic variants the early system 360/355/4200/575 then you'd have the 612/QPV, 599 uses the GT version which has a difference in signals I recall that just a voltage pulse with a timer on the reverse

That said, if you where to reverse the lever you'd need to pull up to go into drive (or just pedal shift)

On mine I have one resistor 3.9k ohms and I’m guessing that the 2 resistors added together on the newer circuit is the same.
Excuse the repairs, when I bought the car it had an RFID system and the circuit tracks had been drilled and wires soldered to the switches so that the auto button was ignition and the skid button was start. Didn’t like it as it removed the oem immobiliser and there was a cut key in the ignition to keep steering lock off. These 2 things are far superior to me than a diy rfid. Just after the 2 buttons now as mine are painted yellow and red, been in touch with sticky plastics but will have to wait till winter so I can use the car

Hi, no I would see about altering the lever and switch so that the lever could move forward to engage either a difference switch or another switch to move forward but haven’t got that far as first need to see if TCU will respond
Thanks for all your input.

Hi, just thinking a clear picture of the other side of the circuit board would do, UK or US spec as I can get resistance values from the colours.

Have I missed something. I pull the reverse lever up and back (gently) for reverse. Then push it forward for 1st gear. Also can select 1st on the paddle.

Early coupe and spyders pre I think 2005 didn’t have the forward feature on the lever

My 04 has a two position switch, though I usually use the paddles to select 1st

Hi, I find it a pain. I drive an auto as my daily driver so I’m always looking at the lever to go forward
