It’s actually grey same as my brothers and looks really nice and isn’t too bad to keep clean actually.

If it has a youthful clutch I would say this is a very good purchase.

Quite a bit as I use the car on euro trips which staet at night.

Fair do’s, do they make that much difference? I’m hoping to plan a Euro trip for next year, but I don’t envisage doing more than 200/250 miles a day, so don’t envisage driving at night....will be with wife so needs to be a holiday rather than just me driving, busy trawling through all the pistonheads Euro trips..

I found the HID xenons to be very poor on this type of car..may be down to to the hight of the car.

On unfamiliar roads esp in the night I have struggled to see safely at anything approaching the legal speed limits and this is even worse on the wrong side of the raod.

Is halogen lights being much softer I believe I would struggle.

If that had xenon lights my GS would be off and this would be it's replacement.

I don't think that is as important as a few years ago to be honest, and with the push on LED advancements a suitable LED or HID bulb replacement kit would sort out any low lumen deficiencies!

Great colour (biased), and low mileage, should sell quickly.

This dealer is just down the road from me if anyone wants more details etc. Very similar to my last 4200.

The xenons are **** on the 4200 and GS anyway. Not much better and for me, not a reason to pass on a car that's 99% right in other ways.

Sold for £17200 at the auctions in Scotland last week so anyone who is interested, you know what margin the have after putting a warranty on it.

Although I have said 'Im out', I always feel its good to know what a car is like in case anyone else is after it.

I have done this for others in the past.

Body work, trim condition and if it has been serviced EVERY year are the items I check as a 'browser' so as not to was the sales teams time.

Interior looks great in those photos for me, though other pictures of the grey would have put me off in the past. Actually in those photos it looks more like the colour my old 944 had, which depending on the light was very light grey or almost cream. Looked great.

Asking price is not too greedy then. The dealer will no doubt need to spend some money getting the car ready to retail (needs an MOT and corroded brake pipes an advisory last year). Assuming one got the car for say £21k, after deducting cost of warranty and detailing etc, you'll essentially be paying a couple of k for removing the risks associated with an auction purchase.

There is a 29k mile silver 2009 4.2 GranTurismo going through BCA in Kent tomorrow. Could be a similar price. Car needs a service and a bit of paint looking at the www.

Just looked at this again, it was assessed over two months ago so must have through the ring a few times unsold. Hard times for these sort of cars.

Do you have to be a trader to view BCA catalogues or to remote bid?
