Well a 1,500mile round trip was enough to rekindle the love affair after a few recent frustrations with coolant leaks and some other bits. Driving from Geneva to Monza via the Grand St. Bernard Pass (of ItalianJob fame....Matt Monroe "on days like these") down to Aosta and on to Bergamo which was the base for four days during the Italian Grand Prix. We also blasted down to Maranello for the Museo Ferrari. Car performed superbly. Lots of admiring glances from the Tifosi and much wild gesticulating when the locals set eyes on the QP. 19.2mpg was the official mpg so not bad......(who cares!)

Had a heart stopping moment this morning when I saw liquid on the garage floor:battered: But it turned out to be just water run off from the air con.....which was on for 5 hrs non-stop on the way back yesterday.

So for now "Bella" is in the good books........

I was utterly seduced yesterday by the V8 symphony as I pootled to Makro with the windows down.
Not much traffic, beautiful sunshine, the occasional bit of road with some nice build up of revs.
Truly a good car can make even a dull shopping expedition a fantastic experience :)

When i went down to Chichester we drove through the Hindhead tunnel. I kid you not, a driver of another car literally hung his head of the window doing a sort of head bang whilst giving me the thumbs up. Mrs Rossyl could not stop laughing as the whole tunnel was filled with the sound of a roaring V8.

A white van even pulled up to me after the tunnel to give me the thumbs up.

Maserati - providing happiness to the masses!
