I had a fabulous fang last Saturday on a road recommended by a multiple Ferrari owning friend.
It's called the Braidwood Road from Tarago ( near Braidwood ) to Nowra NSW.
I've lived in my area for 50 years and had only heard rumours of it.
It used to have dirt sections, but no more.
Not too much traffic, lots of corners, some downhill hairpins.
A great 2 hours.
What roads can you recommend in Aus or elsewhere?

Haven't driven that road since it was sealed...must give it a try.

Another good drive is Goulburn to Black Springs, via Taralga, and the Abercrombie River.

Two great roads: Braidwood and Abercrombie, although I did get a bollocking on a Club run once from a navigator who didn't read my notes about the drop to the river on the Abercrombie Road!

Others:
The Oxley (Wauchope to Bendemeer),
Thunderbolts (Gloucester to Uralla),
Fitzroy Falls in Southern Highlands,
The Alpine Way,
Snowy Mountains Highway,
Kosciusko Road to Charlottes Pass,
the road from Khancoban to Cabramurra/Kiandra/Adaminaby,
Grafton through Nymboida to Armidale
Mount Lindesay down to Kyogle
The Murray Valley Highway and some of the roads around Mount Hotham/Bright are pretty good if you get a good run and the slowpokes let you through ;)
There are a few more up north around southern Queensland I've done on the bike around Lake Wivenhoe too.

The east side of Australia has some cracking roads hidden away.

BTW Bruce - I've just done a 5 day road trip in the Abarth to Wagga, Hay, Mildura to Broken Hill. After a day on the motherlode I returned via Wilcannia, Cobar and Nyngan. Epic run - nearly 2,500 kms!

Robertson to Jamberoo (both directions). Fairly tight. Mid-week best, lights on, and look out for bikes...
