Personally, I like it. I don't even mind that it looks like an Aston Martin. That's a good thing. What Ferrari seems to have nailed compared to any recent Aston is well-designed and attractive switchgear and cabin layout.

Whether I'd be more lured by a Roma or the extremely attractive (and roofless) Portofino M is a matter that only test drives would resolve. Over a Sunday afternoon coffee I'll keep my Vantage and add a PF.

Think I am put off the Roma front view by two things; the pointy snout like recent Astons and the slash across headlight that reminds me of McLaren. Only their designers know the intention of the design, but really hope it was accidental rather then following fashion.

I am very much not their target audience of course, so my taste is irrelevant.

It's weird Adam how we all see a car in a different light......I love e Roma but think the Portofino is anything other than attractive. Never liked the style of the California and the Portofino may look more up to date but it still not an attractive looking car to me. I think your last choice is still the better one though and one that will not lose you money in the long run.

I used to think the Portifino was very attractive. But since seeing the Roma, the PF suddenly seems to have all sorts of unnecessary angleS, slashes and changes of shape - meaning it’ll date quite quickly. The Roma is more organic.

If you are unfortunate to look at a typical modern car they all have this overstyling. Fake spoilers, fake diffusers, fake splitters, fake front and rear brake ducts. (Toyota C-HR)
The Roma, even with its 'laundry basket'* grille is a pleasant to look at.

The Cali T looks great in TDF Blue.
The PF looks, well, meh!
The Roma - Looks lovely, in any colour but red. But particularly good in TDF blue.

That F12tdf is a proper Max Power/Halfords horror show. All that’s bad about recent Ferrari styling is in that car. I don’t care how quick it is when it’s that ugly.

I’m a big fan of Giallo Fly yellow though, and many years ago had a 355 in that colour that looked fabulous. Not that I’ll be ordering the Roma in that hue. Dark blue, dark red, or mid-grey are the current front runners.

I’d agree with you on the F8.

I want to see one in a dark green with tan Daytona seats, do they do seats like that anymore?

Too much Halfords tat. And WTF were they thinking with that rear window/boot did they have a batch of 458 engine covers going spare?
I wouldn’t be too harsh on 458’s! The F8 is an amazingly powerful car. As I have said before...

It wasn’t a dig at the 458. It’s just the F12 boot lid doesn’t match the rest of the car. It’s as though they were trying to make it look like the rear deck of a mid engined V8 but it’s a front engined V12
