I can see that going for stupid money. At the end of the day, it's a very basic car with a basic interior and I doubt that it would be used as much as it's capable of.
I'm looking at some BMW E30s and Sales pitch is 'future classic investment' but have already taken the 'future investment' rise themselves now for some bad cars.

Agree on stupid money point, it would make a perfect runabout for us here with lots of country lanes, short distances and sometime pretty atrocious road conditions for which we current use the RR but at significant running costs, e.g. €2380 road tax per annum. At its current price this would pay for itself in a couple of years but there are cheaper 4x4 Pandas out there

That's a crazy price so far over £5k!!
My Pinin does the job, more capable and practical, for just a few k.
I guess it's the old "find another" if that's what you really want.

Exactly, finding a capable small rugged 4x4 in reasonable condition is a challenge as you found with the Pinin - Most Pandas are in Italy obviously but long way to just take a punt.

Interesting there is a guy called "Franco" who advertises lots of italian sourced cars in the UK, Fulvia, Panda etc. but a few people have warned me that some of his cars are not all they seem. NO idea if this is the same Franco who sold this, just checking with someone who knows, but I think where the price will go will keep me out anyway

The issue is Traction Control, my Suzuki was good in the snow on A-roads, till hit an icy patch and I was stationary. Turned off TC and all was good again...

Ignore, answered my own question
Mines an auto, wasn't particularly looking for an auto but wouldn't want a manual one if looking now.
Even though 22 years old smooth shifts and lock up 4th gear, so economy the same as a manual, and no clutch problems.
Biggest problem is finding one that isn't (too) rusty!

I've just seen a Lada Niva for sale on FB for £5k. 51k miles in hearing aid being - rugged enough?

The issue is Traction Control,
Completely agree, on most of not all cars, all traction control works by cutting the power and applying the brakes or something like that, so cars get bogged down in the snow very quickly.
First thing I do with my Jag if there is snow is turn it off, and that means completely off (holding button for 9secs until it bleeps) taught my kids and wife the same thing.
