You could always try private sale at price you are happy with. Maybe you’ve ruled that option out.
I guess there’s not too many people prepared to buy a 20k plus Maserati off someone’s driveway, but they are out there, I did it!

I thought you were selling all your material possessions and looking for inner happiness by putting the money in Carr’s Water Biscuits.
LOL.....not at that point yet. Not sure the relevance of Carr's Water Biscuits thought so think I've missed something there.

The current price of everyday cars presently for £20k, you might as well just say fook it and use it as a daily!
That's what I keep on thinking regarding mine at times.
Just a shame fuel is so expensive at the moment.
It is a very true and valid point. For the mileage I do fuel isn't much of a concern. Just can't see the point in having £20k in the bank losing money as opposed to a nice £20k car/asset that isn't depreciating.

When you do a quick search for what is out there with similar performance and miles there is nothing really at £20k or less only more.

Agreed and I did the same when I bought it over 7 years ago. I'd do the same again with the right car and seller. I guess many won't these days.

I think the TVR would likely sell for much more money even though it is questionable it is a better car. I suspect the TVR would sell for £30k+ so might make more sense to sell than the 4200. Even the XJL SS would sell for £15k I think which is still amazing VFM.

Who knows, apparently he’s got so many offshore bank accounts he could own Chelsea FC too.
LOL....I think that might have been the case in the past but it seems he has seen and corrected those issues now. Not sure he is in to cars too much which is ironic when it is your name :D

So I had a lovely SM forum member contact me and pop by yesterday. We had a great chat and got on really well. We have agreed a deal and deposit received.

I think you can see straight away the car is a top example and as I did over 7 years ago bought the car straight away after seeing it. Good ones like this don't come along often. It is a fair deal for both sides and one that nobody wins or loses. Just a great car and a fair deal for both sides.

I am sure the new owner will enjoy it immensely as I have and it will look after him for many years. It sounds like it will get much more use than I could offer it so as a positive result for the car!

It is also a shift from a Levante to a 4200 which says a little bit about modern cars I guess and some of us still preferring the modern classics to the often generic modern stuff.
