been doing a bit of stripping this morning and still amazed in the condition of the bodywork, haven't found any nasties yet and the old gal is not fighting me at all with any stubborn/seized fixings, front torsion bar suspension is interesting and allows easy adjustment of ride height

I also have some 75 torsion bars somewhere

Dragged mine out of its winter storage today, a few turns ion the key to get the carbs full of fuel and she starts like a good 'un, not bad as she has been sat for 4 months in her carcoon.

that would be great, i will need an o/s unit, found a few uk n/s units on the interweb but no uk o/s other than from Italy which would have wrong lenses for uk roads

no worries, just noticed some units have those odd 2 horns on top of the glass lense either side like catmans photo, mine have no horns and not entirely sure what they're all about ??

There were lots of parts differences between Series 1, 2 & 3 cars. Yours looks like an S2 like mine but I have clear indicator lenses

can any alfistis clarify/advise what paint code is the silver on these motors, the label in boot is almost completely illegible, can just make out I think "argento strato?" and then something in brackets which looks like "2 coats" ?

The strato bit probably says “doppio strato” which is 2 coats in Italian.

thanks for that, cant make out bugger all above that unfortunately, do you or anyone know if there is a register of chassis numbers for these motors, cant be too many silvers used on these in the 80's ??
