Careful with sand, alot of people used to use it but I am told that when broken down through a blaster it releases silicon which is carcinogenic.
Yes still have it, I bought it new done 42k in it and absolutely love it. Only bodywork I had 2 new front wings about twenty years ago.
Also have twin spark 916 spider which has only 22k on it
All original paint, took to Italy last year, it is great fun
Also a RHD Montreal which I am restoring albeit much slower than you:( I could start a whole new thread on that one.
I will post some pictures.

You have some nice cars there, don't think many people can say they still own an Alfetta GTV from new :thumb3: looking forward to the snaps.

Didn't know that about the carcinogenic sand thing, good job I had a blasting hood on and my paint spraying mask on as well and it was outside, mind you have done some stupid health & Safety things in my younger days, funny how you view H&S differently as you get older and worry about health

seems close looking at this photo I found of a light silver GTV, the other code I managed to get from another forum was 748 again Grigio Chiaro, odd how they call it light Grey and not Silver (Argento), I'm going to get 1/2 litre of each colour to see which matches, if at all and see what also comes back from marco Fazio of Alfa Romeo as well, 762 is 1983 to 84 and 748 is 1976 to 1984, thanks again

bit of an update for any interested Alfistis, both blooming paint codes wrong shade so waiting for Alfa archives in Italy to come back to me after they re-open with a paint code and info on car , decided to remove the complete A frame with trans axle today which was surprisingly a doddle and everything is rock solid on the underside as expected, A frame sandblasted and primed ready for matt black top coat tomorrow hopefully, think the 2 poster ramp will be taken for a while

That’s coming along, did you drive it before you started?

it was a barn find from a trader that I bought it from, the only thing i did after getting it back home was to make sure the engine was fine before pulling it out, the heavy waxoyling from an early age has really preserved this car surprisingly well

Did you drive it into the garage? Just wondering if you know if the box etc works?

after usual checks and fresh oil/filter, I fired up engine and tested gears/clutch all slipped in nicely, the car had a very careful/fastidious/hands on owner according to the paperwork I got (from deceased estate) I'm so chuffed to have managed to bag such a nice well speced original rhd giulietta that deserves to live on, cant be too many uk ones, if any, that left the factory with air con, headlight was wipes and rear screen blinds that are still kicking about now, im so glad that I got the old gal just before lockdown as it's keeping me busy as fa else to do at the moment

For what seems a fully sorted low mileage car it looks good value

that's bloomin cheap if it's genuinely as nice as it looks and described, id buy that in a heartbeat if I was still looking for one, thanks for the link I've sent the seller a message to see whether he can give me the paint code, still waiting for alfa archives in italy to re open which is a bl0ody nuisance

that does look very nice and that's a he-ll of a manifold with a load of welded sections, not my thing though evocations, I'd prefer to spend 30k on a realy nice standard stepnose
