Great cheap runaround car that GS. A real quality piece of engineering. We’ve got a RX400h, an 08, it’s on 110k now and runs just like new. No rattles, never had anything apart from servicing and tyres, apart from a radiator. Even the bulbs are all original! I’d have that all day long over a similar age 5 series or e class.

Can't argue with the build quality.
However, I recall sitting in the front passenger seat of one in the US in 2001.
I happened to flip the sun visor down and on it in impossible to miss type, were words to the effect of, under no circumstances is this vehicle to be driven off road.
Made me laugh.

Shame about the mpg.otherwise may have been interested.

our 2018 Levante averages 26mpg. from a 3 litre diesel. FFS
Buy an older petrol car - save the planet and prevent the building of another stinking oil burner.

I already have a big mile muncher, otherwise the string backed driving gloves would be in my slacks en-route to departure lounge.
Im out.

Fair enough. So you're going to pay, what 30% of market value upon registration. Roughly £1,000.
Then, you'll immediately also have to pay almost £2,000 for road tax. Within a short space of time,
you'll be paying annually in tax (£2,000) and more than the car is worth.
Who wants to pay almost £2,000 p.a. to a government with the collective IQ of a Telly Tubby.

That last sentence is spot-on! Truly s Government with a collective IQ of a Telly Tubby.

Having lived both in Ireland and the UK. IMO UK governments aren't much better.
Especially of late. Cameron (defies description), May (ambition trumped good judgement), Boris (Trump Jnr., enough said)
