Hi

So ive worked out everything but this, I have the full USB port and should be able to rip mp3s from a stick to the jukebox rather than wait until the end of time to move a CD to the jukebox.

Any tips !! It seems you need a PhD in theoretical science to get it to see the USB stick or files... Doesn't show up on the audio functions

Do the files have to be in folders ? Can it be windows only not moving them on a Mac ?

Sorry, I just put a CD in hte player and copied it to the jukebox each time I went for a drive in the first few months. Works well but it is a pain to set it up. I've tried a usb stick but it seems to list all tracks in alpha order irrespective of artist or album. There are some threads on maseratilife.com IIRC.

I created music folder files containing different genres, and copied and pasted the 10 files to a USB stick. Inserted the USB in to the slot and changed the source button until I got to the Jukebox - it then reads the files without problems. Yes it does skip tracks at time but this all changed when I copied the music to the internal jukebox - now no missing songs and they all come up in alphabetical order too. I think the less folders the better....

Copying from USB is very, very slow and can have issues. I initially copied all my MP3's on to a 16GB USB stick but it took the car a long time to recognise it (I think well over 10 minutes) it then prompted to copy to jukebox. At the start of each journey it would prompt to continue the copy but I soon found out that it was missing tracks - most likely the ones it was copying when I turned off the ignition. The most reliable method I found was to put only 3 or 4 albums on the USB and copy the entire USB but only do it when travelling for 30 minutes or more because that's how long it takes to copy! I think the USB was formatted FAT32 and I had the MP3's in folders for artist/album.
Something I've not tried is making sure my MP3's were at the same bitrate as the car is set - one thought of why it takes so long to copy might be that it's converting the MP3's to the cars bitrate.
