Getting ready to pull the trigger...

Thanks - that's good start - I can see the comfort pack is something I want for sure, looking at past sales adds at Nuvola it's pretty common for cars to have this.
The colours I'm homing in on are, in order of preference
Blu Oceano, Grigio Granito, Grigio Alfieri (but I'd need to see it in real life to make sure it's not too silver), Nero Carrbonio and finally Blu Nettuno
Interior wise I really like the half Alcantara look. Bianco Pregiato and Rosso Corallo get a nope from me. I'd quite like to see Cuoio with black Alcantara, if Cuoio is more orange than tan then that could look pretty modern.
20″ Neptune Grigio Mercury design wheels are mandatory.

I'll be honest I think the pre and post 2012 facelift cars both look very good and I'd be happy with either - now it comes down to the autobox in the pre 2012 cars - is it "worth" the extra to get a newer car - maybe/probably it is.

At that budget I'd be having the 2013 black GT Sport MC Shift that Richard Grace has for sale currently. But as part of the deal I'd have him repaint the Neptune wheels a smoke grey colour as opposed to gloss back.

Compromise on colour and spec vs condition and history. Careful you don't start searching for a Unicorn. Get it right and these cars are sublime, buy badly and it would be many £0000s and lots of grief. Good luck.

Thanks to all the people who have recommended my services. Welcome to the fold @beeza650. £40k just about gets you into a GT Sport. As for <2013 cars, pre facelift cars with a Sport Pack have the same gearbox software and look like an MC Shift, they’re very rare and hard to find though.

I've got two A65 Thunderbolts both1969....one's been thoroughly SRMd with 800cc bore kit, gas flowed, larger valves, balanced crank etc. 66 RWHP the dyno printout from the previous owner says. The other's standard and will be for sale once I've fettled it further. Also got a 1973 Laverda SF1 750.

We can continue this in the motorbike thread.
